Currie & Balerno Win Midcalder Interclub

This year we invited Yester, Currie & Balerno and Kilsyth CC.  We had a great afternoon curling with three neighboring (well close) clubs.

The curling was a bit like the rugby with two close games and one not so close….

Stewart Barr, John Sinclair, Ewan Barr and Ian Provan took on Yester skipped by Walter Scott.  We got off to a good start but Yester managed to steal a series of ends ending up with a draw.

James Baird, John Baird, Skip Jim Wilson and Jean Brash (the ‘Jay’s’) took on Kilsyth skipped by Findlay Brown.  Mid Calder had a couple of good ends that set them up nicely for a 7-5 win.

Becca Baird, Graham Russell, Harry Macpherson and Debbie Kerr had a less than friendly result against C&B skipped by Andrew Galloway 

Currie & Balerno won this year’s Invitational with the team of Andrew Galloway, Dave Munro, Francis Kennedy and Donald Kennedy.
