David Proves That Juniors Are Still Better Than Adults At Points Competition
The points competition had a good turn out this year with seventeen players competing for the top prize.
After Rebecca Baird winning last year's event, the Adults in the club were out to stop the Juniors winning the trophy again this year.
All would have been good if it was not for David Baird scoring a maximum score of eight in the last discipline (chap and lie) to take his total up to 28 out of 40 to win the Ross Trophy and bragging rights for the next year.
So confident that one of the Juniors would win again this year, Midcalder Curling Club decided to also give a prize to the best adult on the night. Graham Young took that honer. After leading going into the last discipline, Graham only managed to score four points for a total of 27 out of 40.
