Stoddart Cup Goes Down To The Wire
Four teams will battle it out for the Stoddart Cup after Bob Graham beat leaders Graham Young in week 8.
Bob Grahams team took the early advantage after taking a three in the second end, but were pegged back in the fifth end when Graham Young's team took a two. Scores were tided going into the final end when Bob drew for a two to win the match.
Graham Wood team kept their hopes alive of winning the Stoddart Cup after beating Alan Russell's team. After losing singles in the first two ends, Graham's team won the next four ends and finished out 6-3 winners. The defeat means Alan wins the Wooden Spoon a year after winning the Stoddart Cup.
In the night's final match, Stewart Barr's team won their second match in a row after defeating Basil Baird's team 5-3. Scott Baird was standing in for Stewart on the night and they took the early advantage in the game, which they never relinquished.
