The two teams representing Midcalder this year were Team One Alan Russell, Ian Keron, Graham Young and Jim Wilson. Team Two were Basil Baird, Stewart Barr, John Sinclair and Harry Macpherson.

Draw 1 was against the Reform Curling Club. It was a bad start for Midcalder One as they never really got going in this game and finished out losing 11-2. Midcalder Two faired slightly better in their game as they were never behind in this match until the last end when they lost a two and the match 5-4.

Never behind in the game Midcalder One played a strong game throughout and won 10-3. Midcalder Two were all square in their match after four ends, but they lost their last three ends to lose the game 7-3.

Draw 3 against Currie & Balerno Curling Club was a must win game for Midcalder. Needing Two wins to progress to the quarter finals of the competition.
