Scott And John Are Just Two Good

Midcalder Curling Club held their Buchanan Pairs Competitiondew at Forfar Curling Rink again this year.
Ten teams were split into two groups of five, with the winners of each group playing in the final. The games saw each player playing two shots each over three end games, with each team playing four games. Also added to this year's competition was the rule that no lead could take out any shots!
It turned out to be a thrilling days curling, with the action never stopping.
The scoring system for the groups were three points for a win. One point for a draw and Zero points for a loss.
Group A had a runaway winner with Scott Baird and John Sinclair scoring the maximum twelve points with Graham Young and Jennifer McEwen finishing runners up in Group A with six points.
Group B was a closer group with Stewart Barr and Alan Crawford winning the group with seven points with Harry Russell and Various players finishing runners up with six points.

So the final saw Scott Baird & John Sinclair take on Stewart Barr & Alan Crawford over four ends this time. Unforchitally for Stewart& Alan the match was over in three ends after Scott & John out played them in the opening three ends, scoring two points on each end to win the game 6-0.
